DOGLEGS

Disability is in the eye of the beholder.

DOGLEGS

“Great documentaries don’t just change how you look at the world. They change how you think about yourself. That’s Doglegs. Fearless, challenging, provocative, and touching in ways you will never see coming.”
Richard Whittaker, The Austin Chronicle

For 20 glorious years, Tokyo janitor Shintaro has starred in Doglegs, an underground pro-wrestling league where the disabled battle the able-bodied. Now, he dreams of a life beyond the mat. But one man stands in his way: his abled-bodied mentor, who isn’t letting go without a fight.

Winner of Best Director for Documentary Feature at Fantastic Fest, Doglegs had a long theatrical run in Japan, where it was also broadcast multiple times and released on DVD.

It’s available worldwide through Vimeo and Alamo on Demand,
